Sarah Palin's Pentecostal church is promoting a conference that promises to convert unhappy and sinful gays into happy and sinless heterosexuals through the power of prayer and a small registration fee.
"You'll be encouraged by the power of G-d's love and His desire to transform the lives of those impacted by homosexuality," according to the insert in the bulletin of the Wasilla Bible Church, where Palin has prayed for about six years. It seems Focus On The Family will be hosting it's cozy fundamentalist conversion camp entitled "Love Won Out" - sans electro-shock therapy, beginning this weekend. (On a side note, attendees should consider, "Truth Wins Out." I heart Wayne Besen!)
Apparently in Alaska there is a proliferation of lesbian lumberjack moose hunters that need transformation in their lives, so G-d's warriors are setting up a church camp featuring old time deliverance sessions where they will lay hands and pray away the gay. A less successful crusade to pray away the black, pray away the female gender, and pray away Trig Palin's Down's Syndrome didn't work out too well. Damn genetics!
